Don'ts of Whole30®: Dairy

Alright, all of my cheese lovers raise your hands! Now throw out all of that delicious, ooey, gooey, cheesy, goodness. Dairy. I have such a love/hate relationship with it. I love to have it. Hate the heaviness and nastiness I feel in my gut afterwards. Have you ever noticed the more cheese you eat the more you crave? And once you start it’s hard to stop eating it? Cue the cheeseboards at every dinner party. Read More

Don'ts of Whole30®: Legumes

Don'ts of Whole30®: Grains

Well, there goes breakfast! If you currently pour yourself a bowl of cereal in the morning or eat overnight oats for breakfast you now have to think outside the box. The Don'ts of Whole30®: Alcohol

The next item on the docket to remove for 30 days is…ALCOHOL. Trust me, I KNOW. I can sense the spews of curse words through the screen. This one hurts. I mean, I subscribe to a monthly wine program! Pity party over. Let’s get real on this. For 30 days we are removing ALL forms of alcohol from our lives. My first Whole30® I attended four or five parties, including a happy hour at a fitness convention with our Texas PILOXING® instructors, and successfully stayed away from all of it. I did plan ahead for that one though. I grabbed a few La Croixs and to take with me and I had no problems. I even helped open all the pretty bottles of red deliciousness that I so desire. What made me successful at not slipping up and ultimately sabotaging my program? Read More

The Don'ts of Whole30®: Sugar

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed some extra time with your loved ones. I definitely enjoyed some extra sugary treats that have now made their way to homes of others so they no longer live here. I want to start by covering the don’ts of the program. Those seem to be the harder ones to grasp and have people going cross-eyed as they are reading them on their own. I am going to break them down one at a time so you can get a better handle and understanding of them. Break off a small bit and chew before moving onto the next one. If you have questions, feel free to leave them in the comments or shoot me an email at staci@wanderingheart.net. I am happy to converse with you! Read More

Is it almost the New Year already? It seems like just yesterday we were setting resolutions, hopeful about accomplishing new goals and making positive changes in our lives. But while we often do our best to stay focused, resolutions don’t often pan out the way we’d like. Read More
